For the little ones we also have plenty to offer. Borrow a toboggan and go sliding out the backdoor. Our yard has plenty of space and snow piles for digging tunnels or a building a snow castle for example.
We are located on the Dientner Sattel, a mountain plateau road, tranquilly seated at the foot of the Hochkoenig mountain range.

AFFORDABLE SKI IN FOR FAMILIES
Our very own groomed Ski trail will bring you safe back to the Mittereggalm mountain inn. Half way down the Kings Cab run you’ll find the turnoff marked with a sign for Berggasthof Mittereggalm. Not only are we an affordable ski in for families, our quiet location with plenty of outdoor space make us an ideal family friendly ski destination in Austria.
ACTIVE ALPINE WINTER HOLIDAY AT THE HOCHKOENIG RESORT AND AREA
Within 5 minutes the free ski bus, which stops right outside our door, will bring you to the Hochkoenig Resort which is part of the vast Ski Amade network. The Hochkoenig Resort has 33 lifts and 120 km of ski piste. Try the Kings Tour (Koenigstour), which descends a total of 6700 vertical meters and traverses the villages of Mühlbach, Dienten, and Maria Alm. The Kings Tour can be covered in a day. The vertical meters are comparable to skiing down Mount Everest, will you dare?

Looking for a convenient cross country ski vacation? A 6 km groomed trail for classic and skate skiing is mere steps out our door and also connects to the nearest lift. Keep up your fitness on the rolling terrain and enjoy your cross country ski vacation here.
Interested in ski touring in Austria? The local ski rental place offers ski touring gear if you don’t have your own. Directly outside our door the trails are easily accessible. The stillness and adventure is yours to discover while ski touring in Austria. Just ask, we know the snow conditions, avalanche risk level and are happy to share our local knowledge with you.
Also a splitboard holiday or snowshoeing in Austria is possible here. Right out the door you can start, and if you are early enough, untouched slopes and snow await you.
The Blue Tomato Kings Park in Hochkoenig provides plenty of adrenaline for the young and young at heart. Kickers, Rails and Boxes are waiting to be conquered. Also available are a Beginners Park and Funslope.
