Mountain Inn Mittereggalm at Hochkoenig has closed per Oktober 2025

Our very own groomed Ski trail will bring you safe back to the Mittereggalm mountain inn. Half way down the Kings Cab run you’ll find the turnoff marked with a sign for Berggasthof Mittereggalm. To get to the nearest lifts you have the option of the free ski bus which stops outside the door or skiing/pushing on the groomed trail towards either Mühlbach or Dienten. Not only are we an affordable ski in, our quiet location with plenty of outdoor space make us an ideal winter vacation destination in Austria. Here you can also cross country ski, snowshoe, ski tour, splitboard, and toboggan.
SUMMER TIME
Come experience the gorgeous alpine summer. The forest and meadows are full of life and you can enjoy cooler breezes and fantastic views from the many hiking trails. The Salzburg Almenweg (summer farm way) hiking trail passes by our mountain inn. You can hike to the top of Hochkoenig with 1700 height meters. Many climbers come for the well-known Koenig’s Jodler, which starts outside our door. The Koenig’s Jodler is one of the longest climbs (via Ferrata) of the Alps. Other adventures include single trail mountain biking, Toni’s Almspielplatz (large children’s playground on the mountain), or herb wandering.
